Blackpool’s eager knitters have been raising money for charity.

Blackpool Fairness Commission and local community groups have motivated a special army of knitters to pull together and make 200 small woolly hats as part of the national Big Knit campaign.

Knitters, ranging from eight years old to 70, have been clicking away over the last three weeks to raise money for the Innocent Big Knit campaign.

The hats will now be sent off to the campaign before they are put atop bottles of innocent smoothies, who will donate 25p to Age UK for each bottle sold.
