Coun Peter Hardy, Fylde mayor, said: “Shopkeepers in Kirkham and St Annes make a fantastic effort every year to make shopping an enjoyable experience.

“We are fortunate to have such dedicated traders. The standard of entry was superb yet again but Kirkham’s Trinity Hospice shop and The Vine each deserve their trophy and certificate.

“All the entrants deserve the thanks of residents who appreciate the effort that goes into making shopping such a pleasant experience.

“Even those who didn’t enter the competition had made a major effort with their windows and I hope we will see them enter next year’s awards.”
