Danbro, the accountancy firm named Business of the Year at last year’s Be Inspired Business Awards, the BIBAs, will speak about its journey through the awards process and offer advice on how applicants for this year’s awards can be successful at a boot camp event.

The free workshop is being hosted at the Fylde Coast office of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce in Blackpool on Friday.

Chamber chief executive Babs Murphy said the workshop was vital for any business looking to collect a trophy at this year’s awards.

She said: “The BIBAs is one of the most rigorously judged business awards not just in Lancashire but in the country, so we do all we can to support our applicants.

“The BIBAs Boot Camp is designed to tell applicants about what the awards are and how they can be valuable, how to decide which category to enter and advice on how to write an application.

“Danbro has been regularly involved in the BIBAs since we started and has a wealth of experience in what it takes to be a winner, so their insight at this event will be invaluable to those looking to apply.

The Boot Camp will also hear from BIBAs judges Tony Raynor, managing director of Blackburn-based Abbey Telecom, and Norman Tenray, the managing director of construction services firm, OBAS.

There will be a number of exercises to help hone application-writing skills and help with focusing on the issues which are of interest to judges, as well as the opportunity to network with leading members of the business community.
