Assault case hearing date is set

A man attacked another man causing a laceration which needed treatment, a court was told.

Lee Wilson, 29, of Condor Grove, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Wilson assaulted another man by hitting him on February 7, and kicking him repeatedly, causing a laceration.

But the defendant said 
that he had not kicked the victim.

Wilson was bailed to May 6 by Blackpool magistrates for a Newton hearing where evidence from both the prosecution and defence will be heard.

Wilson must not contact the victim or enter the resort’s Chadwick Street as conditions of his bail.
