Healthwatch Lancashire, the public voice on health and social care, wants to extend its board and said it is welcoming enquiries from across the Fylde coast.

The group said it is looking for ‘individuals with a strong commitment to improving local health and social care services’.

The role also requires the skills and relevant board-level experience needed to set and ensure delivery of the organisation’s strategy.

Chairman Mike Wedgeworth said: “There are huge changes going on in the NHS and in social care.

“Healthwatch Lancashire is a vital route to influencing those changes for the good of the people and communities of Lancashire.”

The role is voluntary; with reasonable out of pocket expenses reimbursement paid by Healthwatch Lancashire.
