Appeal to find owner of dumped speedboat

Police in Blackpool are appealing for help to trace the owner of a speedboat found dumped on Saturday morning.

Officers said the speedboat, along with a trailer, was found in Cropper Road in the town.

In a Facebook post, police said: “The driver of the vehicle towing somehow managed to misjudge the road and managed to collide with the security fencing around a building site there.

“We suspect that the pair were stolen overnight, possibly from the Blackpool area but more likely from the Glasson Dock or Skippool Creek areas.”

Officers are now appealing for help to trace the rightful owners, and are asking anyone who saw the boat being towed during the early hours of Saturday to get in touch.
