Councillors say the new name is “inappropriate” for a family resort.
Coun Ivan Taylor, who represents Claremont ward which includes the hotel, said: “We are a family resort and this leaves a bad impression.”
Blackpool Council chiefs say they are looking at what enforcement action they can take.
