All trams off after damage
Weather damage to the overhead lines saw all trams suspended between Cabin and Starr Gate from 7pm on Thursday evening, Blackpool Transport said.
The line was replaced ‘quickly’ and trams were moving again at slow speed by 10pm, managing director Jane Cole told The Gazette.
There were no safety issues or injuries, and normal service was resumed by 6am yesterday, she added.
