CLASSIC cars and bikes were on show in glorious weather yesterday.
The Fairhaven Lake Classic Vehicle Show, which was put on by Blackpool Vehicle Preservation Group, was held at the Fairhaven Lake car park, Inner Promenade, Lytham St Annes.
It is estimated more than 2,000 people came to the show which ran from 10am until 4pm.
On display were more than 100 classic cars ranging from many different eras and marques as well as plenty of classic and modern bikes, buses, military vehicles and engines for motor lovers to enjoy.
There were also refreshments on throughout the day as well as an auto jumble and charity stalls.
Pat German, rally coordinator described it as a “the best show we’ve ever done” but admitted the good weather played a big part.
“It’s just all gone so well,” she said. “It’s absolutely packed and we’ve got more exhibits on than ever before. There’s something for everyone and it’s absolutely packed, which is brilliant. The weather has helped and it’s the best show we’ve ever done.”
Joan Ducker, trade stall coordinator, said: “There’s barely room to move it’s that busy and with nearly 400 exhibits and two people manning each, there’s got to be well over 2,000 people here. Everything has gone really well and I’m already looking forward to the next one.”
