All set for summer fun for youngsters

Three venues will host school holiday activity sessions from next Monday under a scheme being run by Fylde Council in partnership with Home-Start, URPotential, Fylde Foodbank and Blackpool FC Community Trust .

The sessions are intended for youngsters aged from seven to 11 and will run at at Hope Street Pavilion, St Annes (Mondays), Lower Lane Community Centre, Freckleton (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and Walter Avenue Methodist Church, St Annes (Wednesdays and Fridays) until Friday, August 31, apart from bank holiday Monday, August 27. .

A Fylde Council spokesman said: “Thanks to funding from Progress Housing’s Community Investment Fund and the Lytham Schools Foundation, we are able to build on the success of last year’s pilot and extend the programme.”

The sessions run from 9am to 1pm with parental consent forms available on the day. Details from (01253) 348691.
