POLICE are hunting a Blackpool pervert convicted of serious sex offences on a child.
John Geoffrey Humphries, 41, from Blackpool, is wanted for breach of the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act by failure to register his address and for recall to prison.
Humphries was convicted at Preston Crown Court on October 5 2010, for two offences of sexual activity with a male child under 16 years and two offences of detaining a child without authority. He was jailed for three years and four months but was released on licence this July.
It is believed Humphries is still in Blackpool.
Det Insp Tony Baxter, from Blackpool’s Public Protection Unit, said: “Humphries is a sex offender with a conviction for a serious sexual offence. I’d appeal to anyone who knows where he may be to get in touch with us. Sex offenders are managed in the community to prevent them committing further offences.”
