How to draw and fade the golf ball
In the golf swing the club moves in a circular motion around the body and creates a path through impact.
To fade the ball the clubface must be further to the right than the club path while to draw the ball the clubface must be left of the club path.
The easiest way to shape the ball therefore is to try and keep the clubface pointing at the target and to swing the club more to the right for a draw and more to the left for a fade.
The ball will therefore always start close to where the clubface is pointing and shape in the opposite direction to the club path.
This is assuming that the golf ball is struck from the middle of the clubface as hitting it from the toe or heel will hugely influence the shape of shot as well.
