A woman was airlifted to hospital on Tuesday after she collided with a car.

The 41-year-old was in the car park of Ribby Hall, in Wrea Green, when the Nissan Micra struck her at 2.10pm.

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance after suffering a broken arm and superficial cuts to her shoulder and body.

The injuries to the male driver of the Nissan Micra are not believed to be serious.
