£238k gift to most vulnerable children across the Fylde coast

Two Blackpool groups dedicated to helping the most vulnerable young people across the Fylde coast have been awarded hundreds of thousands in funding from Children in Need.

N-compass North West Limited was awarded a grant of £107,522, over three years, to deliver a counselling service to vulnerable children and young people who are at risk of self-harming.

The service will be delivered in schools in Fylde and Wyre, and will also provide school holiday and community based support.

The Blackpool Citizens Advice Bureau was awarded a grant of £130,721, over three years, to deliver social welfare advice sessions to disadvantaged young people across Blackpool.

Help will be provided with homelessness, benefits, housing, debt, family, work and education.
