For the second year in a row the spectacle included a Saturday music festival featuring a wealth of talented local performers, followed by Gala Day itself on the Sunday.
The music festival featured bands and solo artists such as Darwin and The Finches, Vices, The Bone Idols, The 27th, The Electric Snakes, Reckless and Angels Elite, solo artists Nick Jones and Claire Cassidy and dance groups Rascalz Theatre and Studio 15 Dance Academy.
Organisers intend to run this event next year as well
Gala Day itself featured the traditional parade, packed with colour floats and fancy dress entrants, before the crowning of the Gala Queen and Rosebud.
And all-round entertainer Steve Royle, star of radio, stage and Britain's Got Talent, was on hand to provide some extra entertainment on the day.
Holly Moorhouse, chairman of Thornton Cleveleys Gala, said: “We were so lucky to have beautiful blue skies for the music festival on the Saturday.
“Although we it was a wet start we were very lucky that the rain then held off until the end of the day for us.
“Our Gala Queen Layla and Rosebud Queen Kaia were uncrowned and our Gala Queen Elect for 2024 Freya was crowned.
“We also had some great entertainment on the field from Northfold Primary School Dancers, Studio 15 Dance Academy and Steve Royle.
“Now we’re already planning it all again for next year!”
