The council’s Markets Team and traders are working together to ensure the market is a safe place to shop, trade and work so it can be reopened and continue the recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic.

Measures implemented include:

- All market doors have been designated as entrance only or exit only doors and these are clearly signed.

Wyre council said it was always important to maintain a safe social distance from all other shoppers and staff – this includes routes into and out of the market and to use the hand sanitisers provided along with washing your hands regularly.

In the meantime, improvements to the outdoor market were also near completion.

The market is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday all year round.
