Margaret Sparks writes from Australia to see if any readers can help her find information on these undoubted seaside stars who she came across while researching her family history.
She says: “I am looking for information about the Seven Lancashire Lasses who, I believe, performed in Blackpool probably around the early 20th century. I know this might be a long shot, but some reader might have information and any assistance would be really appreciated.”
Margaret, who can be contacted by email at email@example.com, found two picture postcards on the internet, one of which advertises: “The popular Parson Family entertainers, the Seven Lucky Little Lancashire Lasses, the only seven real sisters performing together anywhere.”
The other postcard’s caption says: “Madame Parsons and her popular family, including the seven little Lancashire Lasses, the two Lancashire Lads and their soldier daddy, Sgt Parsons AOC.”
