WHEN these rock chicks from the 60s got together again - thanks to Memory Lane - it wasn’t too long before the guitars and drums came out for an impromptu jam session.

It was a novelty she hoped would jog readers’ memories after a fruitless search for her former band members.

A delighted Pat now says: “I had a note waiting for me when I arrived at my hotel from Liz Hall, our old lead guitarist. So I called her and she had heard from drummer Janet Bailey after 15 years. So we met up with rhythm guitarist Carol Smith, with whom I already had contact, at Liz’s home.

“It was smiles all round and we now plan to keep in touch when I return to Australia on June 19. Thank you Memory Lane for putting The Missfits back together for one last time and for all your help in making this reunion possible. It made my holiday in Blackpool extra special and we are all very grateful for this happy outcome. There were also flowers waiting at the hotel from my old mate John from another 60s group I performed with in Germany called The Retreads, so that was a lovely surprise, together with a letter from a dear friend I had not seen in 40 years, who wanted to meet me.”

Pat, who is staying at The Waverley, Dean Street, South Shore, can be contacted there by any other old friends or at by email back home.
