These are 12 of the most expensive houses sold in Blackpool in 2020

From bungalows and semi-detached homes to newly built properties, significant sums of money changed hands on some seriously covetable homes in Blackpool in 2020.

However, while the average house price in England, according to the latest statistics available, the UK House Price Index for October 2020, is £262,000, properties in Blackpool had an overall average price of £129,706 over the last year – the average price in October, according to the index, was £112,078.

Property website Rightmove said the majority of sales in Blackpool during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £134,210. Terrace properties sold for an average of £98,495, with detached properties fetching £222,706.

Overall, sold prices in Blackpool over the last year were 29 per cent up on the previous year and 5 per cent down on the 2008 peak of £136,446.

Here are 12 of the most expensive residences sold in the town last year, based on the most recent data from Rightmove and the Land Registry. Other homes sold in the area in 2020 include Silver Cloud, Division Lane, Blackpool, which sold for £749,950 in October, and Woodside, Moss House Lane, Westby, which sold for £720,000 in January.
