Something brewing at round table event...

The town’s well-known charity group is planning to serve up a special ale to celebrate 75 years of fun, fellowship and fundraising.
Tablers have teamed up with Lytham Brewery to produce their own ale and hope that beer lovers across the Fylde will join them in a toast to their organisation, which has supported hundreds of deserving local causes over the decades.
And by showing their support – by sinking hundreds of pints of “Round Table” - beer lovers will also be boosting a deserving charity. For Lytham Round Table is to make a donation of £10 and Lytham Brewery an additional £5 to the Lytham St Annes branch of the RNLI for every one of the 75 firkins of their unique beer sold to Fylde Coast pubs, bars and clubs.
The beer is to be produced by father and son team Andrew and James Booker– with Tablers encouraged to call in at their micro brewery operation in Lord Street, St Annes and play a “hands on” part in the processes of its production – adding hops to the brew and later at the end of the cycle, taking out the grist to bag up for animal food. 
Some 5,000 pints will be available in September and October.
It is hoped the special ale will increase Round Table’s profile – as they continue to search for new members. Beer mats for all participating venues are also being produced to promote the organisation for men, aged 18 to 45.

The club organises the annual Bonfire Night firework spectacular at Fylde Rugby Club and Santa’s Christmas tour of Lytham St Annes streets which together raised £14,000 for local charities last year.
