Days Out: Enjoy a taste of the Dales this half term
The interactive experience takes visitors on a journey through the art of cheese-making, including the opportunity to watch Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese being handcrafted from the cheese-making viewing gallery.
There is fun for the whole family with hands-on games and activities such as driving the children’s milk tanker and learning all about how a cow makes milk!

Hide AdNew for this February, the viewing gallery has been developed to incorporate a wealth of exciting information and touch screens showing behind the scenes footage of the cheese-making process.
Visitors can discover how cranberries get into Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese and how blue cheese is made.
During the February school break, children can also watch a programme of live cheese-making demonstrations at the visitor centre.
All the food at The Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre is home-made and locally sourced.

Hide AdAnd Calvert’s Restaurant offers signature dishes while the 1897 Coffee Shop offers home-made light bites.
