Bobby Ball was a national treasure who took Blackpool under his wing

The much loved comedian, who died last week, had huge affection for the resort and the Fylde coast.

Trawling through The Gazette archives, it’s all very apparent that Bobby Ball held a true passion for the town. These photos are just a snapshop of occasions where Bobby made a difference, from his legendary comedy double act with Tommy Cannon to his dedicated work for hospital charity Blue Skies.
