There is a last chance for Fylde residents to have their say on the future use of Lytham Institute.

Deadline is Monday and while Fylde Council’s offices are closed because of the pandemic, contributions can still be made online.

The Institute housed the library for more than 100 years until September 2016 and the Grade II-listed Victorian building is registered by Fylde Council as a charitable trust.

Revised aims for the Trust, drafted on the Charity Commission’s model purpose for community centres and approved for consulation at an earlier special meeting of the council, stress community use. Fylde Council leader Coun Sue Fazackerley said: “I would encourage all interested parties to have their say.”
