We look back at some of the defining moment's of the site's fascinating history.
1. Trinity Hospice on Low moor Road, Bispham
Trinity Hospice was founded by Dr David Cooper in 1985. The facility is paid for mainly by generous fund-raisers across the Fylde coast, who must donate an incredible 5m total every year to keep the hospice running.
2. A visit from royalty
Diana, Princess of Wales, paid a visit to Low Moor Road in 1992 to open the day hospice, which is now known as the day therapy unit.
3. Countless events have raised funds for the hospice
People have pulled out all the stops to raise money for the hospice over the years. Here, back in 1998, dancers at Melody Ballroom, Blackpool, lead the way in the 24 hour 'Dance-A-Thon' to raise money for the children's ward.
4. Caring for patients and their families in difficult times
In 1998, the hospice bought Linden House, just across the road from the main hospice, and transformed it into the Linden Centre, which opened in 2001. Here patients and their families receive counselling to deal with loss and bereavement.
5. Celebrating the new year
Staff and patients worked together to create a huge quilt to be put on display to celebrate the Millennium.
6. Illumathon for hospice made its debut 20 years ago
The first Blackpool Illumathon in 2000 saw 2,000 women walk from Bispham to Starr Gate and back to raise money for Trinity Hospice. Since then, the event has become a tradition in Blackpool's calendar.
