The local clinical commissioning group (CCG), responsible for planning and paying for health services in the area, is looking for volunteers to sit on its ‘Influence Panel’.

Since being set up three years ago, it has aided the development of neighbourhood care teams, the new falls service, Pharmacy+ clinics, and the extended access service.

It also tested the new online FYi Directory, a website for health, social, and community services.

Chairman Nick Milne, from St Annes, said: “It is a great feeling to be involved with influencing NHS decisions. The CCG has been supportive of our feedback and ideas.”

Kevin Toole, the CCG’s engagement boss, pictured, added: “This year we would love to have some younger people involved. However regardless of age, if you would like to get involved it would be great to hear from you.”
