The owners of Piper Heights Caravan Park, on Peel Road, Marton, announced the decision to residents this morning.

A spokesman for the holiday park told The Gazette: "We must stress that Pipers Height is a holiday park not a residential park. All customers are holiday home owners not residential and they provide us with proof of their residence on an annual basis.

"All customers have been told to leave the park. We are following guidelines set to us by the BHHPA (British Holiday & Home Parks Association). Any customers who have a valid reason that they must isolate in their holiday home, because they cannot return home, these customers are being asked to send a valid reason why and are being allowed to stay. This is to be sent to us in writing. Also they must follow the government guidelines for isolation/lockdown."

The caravan park is family owned and run. It has a touring caravan park with 82 super pitches as well as static mobile homes.
