Blackpool Victoria Hospital reported the only coronavirus-related deaths in Lancashire for a second day in a row today (June 9) – with five more patients dying after testing positive for Covid-19, taking the total to 205, according to NHS England figures.
Four coronavirus-related deaths were also recorded by Blackpool Victoria Hospital yesterday (June 8), meaning nine more deaths have been recorded in Blackpool in the last two days

Hide AdNo deaths were recorded at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, which manages Preston and Chorley, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust or East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
However, health bosses will be boosted by the news the council area of Blackpool saw no new confirmed cases of coronavirus yesterday – with the total remaining at 662.
Blackpool Victoria Hospital also announced on Friday (June 5) that they had successfully treated 358 patients who had been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Just two more cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the council area of Lancashire, which includes Fylde and Wyre, taking the total to 3,716.

Hide AdThe death toll at hospitals run by the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Preston and Chorley – remained at 219.
The total at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust also remained at 164.
