There were those for and against, and here's what some had to say on it...

Rachael Joanne Lomas said: "Why not bring the summer holidays forward until it’s actually safe to send our kids back to school? Mine won’t be going back until I think it’s safe and if that means I get fined then so be it!"

Debbie Harman said: "No, too early. Children are very up and down at the moment trying to take all this in and if schools start opening with only certain years in at a time this will make the children even more scared thinking why are we the only classes in school."

Natalie Parker said: "No one knows what the situation will be by then so we will all assess it at the time I imagine, but obviously it needs to be safe."

Mark Merriman said: "They won't be going back until it's definitely safe, I think it's stupid doing things too quickly."

AJ Franklin Congleton said: "I wish they would go back to school, some are missing their education and my autistic son is going back to old habits of hiding in his room, it's not good."

Samantha Forsyth said: "I’ll be continuing to follow the government's advice. That’s all we can do."

Jenny Simpson said: "I will not be sending mine back in June. September would be the earliest."

Zabrina Cain said: "I don't think it will be safe enough, don't get me wrong, the kids want to go back and I want it for them, but i don't want to rush things for it all to go wrong. I don't like using kids as guinea pigs either."

Martin Craven said: "I guess so, yes, send them back. Having said that, they are all in their 30s so they might think not!"
