Professor Wood, who has presented numerous history documentaries including ‘Great Railway Journeys’, ‘In Search of the Trojan War’, and ‘In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great’, taught students about the Macedonian leader’s epic 13-year military campaign in the late fourth century BC.

Student Sam Hart said, “I really enjoyed hearing about the two sides of Alexander’s personality and how Michael viewed this.

“The talk has really reinforced my learning and fired my enthusiasm regarding the debate about Alexander’s greatness or megalomania!”
