The Breck Primary School on Fouldrey Avenue has told a number of pupils to self-isolate after confirming a positive case of Covid-19.

Pupils within the affected child's bubble have been asked to stay at home for 14 days.

Headteacher Cheryl Brindle said: "We have been advised of a positive case and, following our robust procedures, everyone belonging to the same bubble has been asked to self-isolate.

"We have a very detailed risk assessment in place for just this sort of incident and are following our plans carefully, with remote learning in place for those pupils who are not in school.

"Parents have been kept fully informed."
