Nursery branded '˜inadequate' late last year is back to '˜good', Ofsted rules
'˜Ambitious' managers at Safehands Green Start Nursery, based at Bloomfield Road in Blackpool, saw its Ofsted rating improve from the worst possible to '˜good'.
The nursery’s managing director Paul Manning previously said the education watchdog’s findings late last year were being challenged because ‘we believe some elements were incorrect’.
And now, after a fresh visit, it was told it was ‘good’ in all inspected areas, with inspector Katie Sparrow saying in her report: “Great improvements have been made since the last inspection and there are targeted and well-informed plans to ensure that this continues.”
Parents were ‘very happy with the care and education’ given to their children, she said, and staff use their skills well to boost youngsters’ progress.
The nursery has now been given tips on how to reach ‘outstanding’, the top score, including monitoring staff’s practice even better, Ofsted’s report added.
