A group of eight, Heather Barnes, Charles Bovenizer, Alaina Coar, Edward Lavelle, Michael Lewthwaite, Samantha Loo, Sachin Nantheesan and Julian Shield achieved A*/A passes in three or more subjects.

A spokesman for the school said: “These A Level results are just reward for their efforts over their school career, and particularly during the Sixth Form years, when there is such constant pressure from the many exam modules over two years.

“It is pleasing to see so many of our students now going on to their first choice universities, with places secured at some of the country’s leading universities.

“At the start of a period of much change and uncertainty around the exam system, it is pleasing to see that our students have excelled across the board, and it is particularly noteworthy that the top grades are spread across so many subject areas: A* passes were spread across art and design, sciences, mathematics, economics, languages, physical education, geography and psychology.

“This reflects very well the diverse talents of the school’s largest ever year group.

“We warmly congratulate all our students on their success and wish them very best for the next step in their education.”
