It had previously been ranked as ‘requires improvement’, following a previous visit by inspectors from the education watchdog last October.

In a report writing after her visit, inspector Stephanie Davies praised the nursery’s new manager, and said she is ‘committed to providing high-quality’ education for the resort’s youngsters.

She said: “She works closely with experienced area managers and the local authority to review practice and make positive changes.

“She takes into account the views of parents and staff when planning future improvements.”

Staff at the nursery, which cares for around 40 children aged two and three, were also given good feedback forbeing ‘positive role models’.

“They consistently promote the use of good manners and appropriate behaviour,” Ms Davies said.

“Children enjoy being active and learning new things. They are eager to explore independently and join in enthusiastically with small group activities.”

The nursery can improve by boosting teaching around hygiene, and encourage youngsters to carry out tasks by themselves, she added.
