The Pork Shop, on Church Street in Poulton, is collecting new and unwrapped toys to take to Fleetwood food bank.

Co-owner Jack Gardner wanted to give toys to the food bank to be distributed amongst families who require food parcels, which he feared would increase this Christmas due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jack said: "We're collecting new and unwrapped toys in a big wheelie bin in our Poulton shop, so anyone can drop them off and we'll give them to kids who need them.

"We wanted to use what we have here at the shop to generate as many presents for people as we can.

"This year has been hard for many people, and there might be more who need to use a food bank than there usually would."

One of The Pork Shop's employees, Maureen, volunteers at Fleetwood food bank and will ensure all collected toys are handed out to families in need.

If you have any new toys, you can take them to The Pork Shop unwrapped and leave them in the container based in the entrance of the store.
