Plans go in for new industrial premises

New industrial premises look set to be built in South Shore and will benefit from the creation of an Enterprise Zone at Blackpool Airport.

Plans have been approved for the construction of two single storey buildings on land at Amy Johnson Way.

The scheme will include mezzanine floor levels to create 12 industrial and business units with associated car parking, access, refuse storage and landscaping.

Council planning officers approved the application using their delegated powers.

A statement accompanying the application says: “The proposal will consolidate this area as a business growth area to meet existing and future demand and is within the Enterprise Zone qualifying for relevant benefits.”
