Savers Health and and Beauty, which sells a range of toiletries and home, health, and beauty products, has lodged a bid to fit a new shop front to 73-75 Church Street, documents have revealed.

The premises used to be home to a branch of My Local, Manchester property consultancy firm Cheetham & Mortimer said in paperwork.

My Local went into administration in 2016, with around 1,000 jobs affected.

Formerly known as Morrisons’ M Local, the firm was sold to Greybull for £25m but later closed dozens of stores. Others were reportedly sold, including to Co-op.
