Motorists on the M6 to be hit by emergency repair work

Emergency repair work to the barrier on the northbound side of the M6 motorway, between junction 27 for Parbold, Standish, and Chorley, and junction 28 for Leyland, will see one lane closed overnight.

Highways England said the planned works are expected to cause disruption between 9pm and 5am until Thursday.

It means motorists heading home to the Fylde coast may be caught up in delays.
