Hotel signs up finance manager

She will manage the hotel’s finances as it develops its business, including the planned re-launch of its restaurant.

Sylvia (pictured) has 18 years’ accountancy experience including corporate tax roles at firms including Mazaars Neville Russell and Ernst & Young as well as serving as an independent tax consultant, providing management accountancy services to businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Sylvia said: “I’m very pleased to be joining The Glendower at this time.

“It is a well-established business that is also undergoing positive development and change.

“For instance working with local suppliers to re-launch the restaurant to attract more local customers as well as to provide a more exciting offer for hotel guests.”

The Best Western Glendower Hotel on North Promenade Lytham St Annes is a 60 room hotel with a variety of rooms, some offering a choice of sea views, free internet access, flat screen televisions and direct dial telephone.

While part of the Best Western Group, the hotel is family owned and run by the Haworth family which also owns Bartle Hall in Preston and Mode in St Annes.
