Blackpool drag queen to host show on new online radio station
and live on Freeview channel 276
Resort Radio is due to air online from January 4 targeting UK coastal towns popular with tourists, including Blackpool.
The internet station comes from founder and station manager, Steve Buchan, who worked at Haven for 10 years and London’s The O2 for five years.

Hide AdHe said the rush to the coast after the first lockdown showed great love for resorts like Blackpool and his station aimed to bring them family entertainment.
He said: “The team and I have created a station with exciting and compelling family friendly content that loves all the holiday brands and hotels but has no reason to mention any. Resort Radio will provide unbiased digital entertainment with live presenters daily and a schedule based upon variety and diversity.”
Blackpool Drag Queen DJ of the Year Demi Godd is to present a 7pm show on Sundays called Sunday Night Pride.
Demi, who hosted a drive-in variety show at Out Rawcliffe, in June to raise money for the Grand Theatre, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to entertain in this way, I’ve DJ’d, have a loyal Instagram following, performed in cabaret and now adding radio is really exciting.”
