Money, money, money on show
Manchester theatregoers will be confronted with £10,000 in real pound coins on stage as part of Money The Game Show – a new show about the madness of the financial system –which comes to The Studio at the Royal Exchange Theatre from next Thursday to Saturday as part of a national tour.
With a security guard on stage and CCTV running at all times, game hosts Casino and Queenie challenge the audience to play a series of high stake games that show how the world’s economic system came to the brink of collapse.
Presented by Leeds-based Unlimited Theatre and London’s Bush Theatre, the show takes a look at the roots of the 2008 financial crisis and its ongoing impact in 2014.
