Dancers deliver stunning body of work
Focussing on high end modern dance co-produced by Sadler’s Wells Ballet company, for one night only Wayne Mcgregor brought his troupe of dancers Atomos to the Grand Theatre.
Modern dance lovers would have been enthralled by the movement of the 10 dancers entwining legs and arms with an elegance emitting from the dancers before a burst of ballet technique.

Hide AdThen comes a change introducing hand movements bodily jerks with high leg extensions and high leaps through the air that demonstrates a high level of ability and remarkable skill that the troupe have acquired to keep the 70 minute performance enthralling.
What really makes the performance special is the powerful body movements sculpting the dancers bodies together within the space around them.
Towards the end of this 70 minute work, it unfortunately becomes a little monotonous with the repetitive dance sequences.
The main purpose beyond the visual is to explore the nature of bodies, the awareness of others’ empathy and our entwined lives.
