The Gazette has launched its prestigious Best of Health Awards 2015!

The awards will recognise and celebrate excellence in health care – in the public, private and voluntary sectors. And we want your community to be involved.

We are looking for inspirational stories of those individuals who have made a real difference – whether they are a dedicated GP, a wonderful community nurse, a midwife who has helped a new mum through a difficult time or an unsung hero who goes out of their way to help others.

The categories are:

• Carer of the Year

• Doctor of the Year

• Dentist of the Year

• Midwife of the Year

• Optician of the Year

• Elderly Welfare Award

• Child Care Award

• Nurse of the Year

• Therapist of the Year

• Unsung Hero Award

• Pharmacist of the Year

• Judges Special Recognition Award

The criteria for nominations are attached. Receiving one of these awards is public recognition for the work you and your colleagues do on a daily basis so please get in touch, we want to hear from you. Include your own name and contact details, as well as the name and contact details of the person you are nominating, and an explanation in no more than 250 words whey they deserve an award. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to the glittering awards presentation dinner at The Imperial Hotel on Thursday September 10th.
