A children’s favourite comes to the Grand Theatre next month when Tiddler and other Terrific Tales takes to the stage on Tuesday April 3 – and you could be seeing it free of charge.
Tiddler is a little fish who tells the tallest tales in the ocean.
Tiddler and other Terrific Tales is a brand new show from the award-winning Scamp Theatre (whose previous productions include Friend or Foe and Private Peaceful) adapted from the best selling books by Children’s Laureate, Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler (creators of The Gruffalo).
Julia Donaldson began her career as a teacher, while also writing and performing songs and street theatre.
In 1993, one of her songs was made into a book, A Squash and a Squeeze. She has written more 100 books and plays for children and teenagers, including award-winning rhyming stories The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale and Zog, all illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
Tiddler and other Terrific Tales, suitable for children aged three and older, is on Tuesday, April 3, at 1.30 and 4pm, and Duke’s Diary is offering the chance to win a copy of the book and a pair of tickets for the 4pm performance.
