Great Arley School celebrated a year-long campaign to raise £35,000 for a new mini-bus in fitting style – with a showbiz spectacular.
Nicky Figgins, who runs Centre Stage Academy Theatre School and whose dad works at Great Arley, called in a few pals from the entertainment world to stage a special show at the school.
“It was a wonderful way to celebrate what has been a fantastic year,” said Anne Marshfield, headteacher at the school on Holly Road in Thornton.
“Twelve months ago we set up a PTA to raise money for a new mini-bus and in that short time we have raised £35,000.
“ I want to say a huge thank you to everybody who has supported us and donated money. It will make a huge difference and allow us to get our pupils out and about.”
