Duke’s Diary readers have the chance to win complimentary family tickets for the final outdoor theatre performance of the season at Lytham Hall in a simple competition.
Six sets of family tickets, each admitting four people, are up for grabs in an easy to enter competition.
Touring theatre company Illyria are bringing director Oliver Gray’s production of the Roald Dahl favourite The Twits to Lytham Hall on Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon August 26 at 4pm.
This follows their two very successful visits earlier in the summer with Henry V and HMS Pinafore.
The grotesque characters in The Twits are proving a particular attraction for children throughout the country on Illyria’s marathon 85 date tour.
Actor Christopher Barlow is expecting an enthusiastic response from a big audience at Lytham Hall.
“This is an excellent adaptation and it has been proving a hugely enjoyable 90 minutes for the cast and for the audience alike,” he said. “I am playing Mr Twit who is a truly gruesome character – utterly repulsive! There’s lots of comedy, lots of audience participation and I am sure that all the children who come to see us at Lytham Hall will simply love it,” she said.
