A trio of TV stars headline at a spring-time pantomime, which will launch Blackpool North Pier’s season of shows for 2015.

The swashbuckling story Peter Pan swoops into North Pier Theatre for an Easter holidays run, starring X Factor’s Chris Maloney as Captain Hook, ex-Emmerdale actor Alex Moss as Peter Pan and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steven Hall as Pirate Winkle.

The family-friendly pantomime will be a return to the venue for Trio Entertainment, which put on The Wizard Of Oz at North Pier last year.

Peter Pan is the boy who never grew up and lives in a far away land just past the second star to the right, called Neverland.

When Wendy is told that she must leave the nursery and start acting like a grown-up, Peter swoops in; and along with her brothers Michael and John, Wendy is whisked off on an action-packed adventure full of pirates, mermaids, Lost Boys and native American Indians, as the family encounters Pan’s long-time foe Captain Hook.

Trio are promising a ‘fantastic adventure full of laughs and songs, brilliant sets, amazing costumes and comedy routines’.

Producer Kevin Brown said: “I’m so excited for 2012’s X Factor finalist Chris Maloney to join Kurtis and Steven in the cast of Peter Pan.

“Chris has performed all over the world and I can’t wait for him to bring Captain Hook to life on stage. He will be the best singing pirate in all of Pantoland.

“Chris is also a brilliant actor and he’ll be a very convincing villain to boo and hiss as he tries to take over Neverland.”

Kurtis Stacey is best known as heart-breaker Alex Moss in ITV soap Emmerdale, and has also appeared in Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks.

The star line-up is completed by Britain’s Got Talent star Steven Hall who made it to the final of the show in 2011.

Tony Jo, of HRH Entertainments which is hosting this year’s entertainment at North Pier Theatre, said: “Peter Pan is the first of many fabulous shows to appear at North Pier in 2015.
“Trio are a proven winner at the venue and I am looking forward to packed houses at Easter for this swashbuckling pantomime.”
