One of the founders of the Grumbleweeds has died.

Graham Walker, who formed the comedy band with pal Robin Colvil in the 1960s passed away on Sunday.

Blackpool promoter Tony Jo, who performed with Mr Walker for around seven years, today paid tribute to the Grumbleweed.

He said: “This is very, very sad news.

“Graham was a man who appreciated the little things in life. He was more interested in having a laugh than a tear, though I imagine a lot of people will be shedding a tear for Graham.

“He was one of the funniest men in the business and he will be sorely missed by all his peers and all his fans.”

Mr Jo also spent 35 years as the Grumbleweeds’ road manager.
