Danny Champion Of The World, Charter Theatre, Preston

Danny The Champion of the World is presented by London Contemporary Theatre and follows the company’s acclaimed productions of Treasure Island and Around The World In 80 Days.

The tale follows the journey of a young English boy, Danny, and his father William.

Danny was only four months old when his mother died and the pair now live in a caravan fixing cars for a living – but his dad has a secret hobby of partaking in poaching pheasants.

When Hazell, a local developer, wants to take over the land their garage is on trouble ensues but Danny rises to the occasion, and he and his dad come up with a most exciting plan.

This will help make him become Danny The Champion of the World.

Directed by Lotte Wakeham and based on the original Roald Dahl book, if you’re looking for an adventure for all the family, then this could be the ideal evening out.

Suitable for children aged five and over, tickets cost £15, or £12 for concessions.

There is also an offer where you can buy 10 tickets and get the 11th free.
