Bargain-hunters have been lining up to get a slice of the Mamma Mia! revolution to hit Blackpool.

The West End spectacular is almost a third of the way through a 12-week summer season at Blackpool Opera House.

Every day at noon, 12 pairs of the best available tickets are up for grabs at just £12 each from the official Mamma Mia! Box Office on Blackpool’s Tower Festival Headland.

And queues are forming each day as fans want to take advantage of the offer, organisers say.

Tracey McCreedy is visiting Blackpool with her family from their home in Antrim, Northern Ireland, and she was delighted to get tickets to see the show.

“We have watched the film but never seen the show so we can’t wait,” said Tracey. “We love all the music so to get tickets at such a good price is brilliant. We would have bought them anyway, even if we hadn’t got this special offer, but this makes it even better.”

Tracey will be watching Mamma Mia! with her son, mother and sister.

And son Nathan, 12, who is a huge Abba fan, said he can’t wait. He said: “I love singing the music and would love to be in musicals one day so I’m really looking forward to the show.

“I’ve never been to a full musical before so the fact that I am getting to see Mamma Mia! while on holiday is great.”

Mum and daughter Kelly Jones, 35, and Nicola Bage, 15, are visiting Blackpool from Livingston in Scotland.

They plan to see the show with Nicola’s father, who is an huge fan.

Nicola said: “My dad really wants to see Mamma Mia! So we’ve queued to go with him.

“I haven’t even seen the film but I like the music so it will be great.

“This is a brilliant ticket offer but we still would have gone to see the show if we hadn’t got these tickets because everyone says how fantastic it is.”

The International Tour of the show is being staged exclusively in the resort with the Blackpool Winter Gardens’ Opera House being the only UK date outside of London to host the production this year.

Michael Williams, managing director of the Winter Gardens, said: “Mamma Mia! is the perfect show for a Blackpool summer season and we are delighted with the reaction from everyone who has either been to see it already or who has tickets for future shows. Our 12 at 12 at 12 offer is going down extremely well and there hasn’t been a day when the Box Office hasn’t been inundated with
enquiries for this fantastic
offer as well as people who just want to buy tickets for the show anyway.

“Queues are forming earlier and earlier each day and we have tickets available that are affordable for everyone and anyone who is willing to queue up to secure seats at their favourite show.”

The 12 at 12 at 12 offer will run for the duration of
MAMMA MIA! in Blackpool, which ends its run on September 14. Tickets are limited to one pair of tickets per person valid for that day only with seats offered as best available on the day.
