Actress Jodie Prenger has been nominated for a theatre award for her latest stage role.
Blackpool belter Jodie is currently on the road playing the role of Calamity Jane, made famous by Doris Day’s portrayal in the film of the same name.
She is nominated for the Broadwayworld.com West End Awards in the best leading actress in a new production of a musical category. Fans can vote at the website.
The show ran through the summer at The Watermill Theatre, Newbury, and is currently in the third week of a national tour in Cheltenham.
Jodie’s career launched when she won the BBC talent search, I’d Do Anything, for a new star to play Nancy in Oliver!
She has gone on to appear in Spamalot on tour and in the West End as Lady Of The Lake and in One Man Two Guvnors.
